I'd like to echo all the supportive sentiments expressed by others on this forum and also give a special thanks to Glen. My teenage daughter Megan was the girl you came over to comfort and talk with while she was waiting to talk to the Sheriff's Deputy. She was upset by the horrible events and also worried about the effect on you and the band. Your actions and words made her feel much better, and was a real life example of the compassion you write in your songs. Largely thanks to you, she has bounced back nicely and is packing to leave for college at the end of the week. If your tour takes you to LA, I'm sure she'll be there.

    Glen, Mar & Band Members,
Our hearts go out to you during this time. You are in our thoughts and prayers as you move forward. We have found comfort and strength in your music during uncertain times and our prayer is that you can do the same. We don't always know the rhyme or reason of why things happen the way they do or to the people affected. You are our favorites and a part of who we are stay strong and keep on doing what you do best. Good luck, God Bless,

There is a forum online that sort of organically developed into a place where other witnesses from the concert came together and began posting and sharing their thoughts/experience/feelings/etc about that night. I have found it to be a very helpful discussion:

Dear Glen, Mar and all members of the band!

It was so sad to hear what happened to you - the exact opposite of what your music means to me: lust for life, joy, healing and "just" being glad!

The young man who died may rest in peace, and I hope that his family and all the people who were witnessing this traumatically event will be able to come to terms with this evening!

I just wanted to say that your music - all Frames and Swell Season CD's -brings so much joy to me, it is a very, very important part of my life.

Some people say there are force spaces (I hope this is the correct english word) in nature, stones or water springs or things like that, and you are a human force space for me! Being in one of your concerts brings so much energy, power and happiness to me - please keep on being as you are!

I'm with you in my thoughts and prays and hope I can return a little bit of all the positive energy I already received from you!

I also was at the Saratoga show, in row 2. It was horrible and unforgettable. I felt sick about it, but am now emerging from the grief, and feeling a new way about. I will not let that guy steal the beauty of the first part of that show. To Glen and Mar -- I have seen you twice and you move me every time...don't let him steal your gift and your joy for what you do!

Santa Maria! I love that idea of Glen as a human force space! That's exactly right! He brings out the best in us with his wonderfilled music.
    thanks for the image

Santa Maria and vic (I always agree with whatever vic says, ya know): a 'force space'....perfect. But I'd have to add Colm, Graham and the rest of the band(s) into that. The love on that stage when all are playing together is palpable (between the players and players to audience). May it continue....

I agree with you too Nolan!! The are magic, and since reading The Outlanders, really like this image of a strong human force, just like a force of nature:-)
