The Swell Season

The Swell Season are pleased to announce two very intimate benefit shows in the Los Angeles area. Tickets for both shows will be $40 and all proceeds will go towards the purchase of a new truck for the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust. Last summer Glen had the honor of spending time in the company of the Maasai Tribe while traveling in Africa. While there it became apparent of their impending need for a new truck to haul medical supplies, food and other important goods. Glen was so moved by the experience that he offered to do whatever he could to raise both awareness of the tribe as well as funds to assist in the purchase a vehicle.

For these shows we will be matching the money generated by ticket sales in pursuit of our goal of $70,000. If you can’t make the show but would still like to donate you can do so thru the website www.crowdrise.com/glenhansard. We will also list all those who bought tickets on the site. Crowdrise is a great way to generate interest and support in various causes and a nice way for our fans to check in and see how the journey is going.
